Weddings and Corona
It has been a very difficult time for the world and the wedding industry lately. We are all still in shock and living daily life as good as possible. We still remember when end February 2020 people were cancelling events and postponing weddings in the unknown. Brides were crying as they have planned their big day sometimes for over a year. What now? One thing is clear no one wants to celebrate one of the most important day in their lives with social distancing and masks on their faces. So when can then resume with weddings as we used to know them? What can we expect for 2020? To very honest, I expect weddings come back to normal only when everyone got vaccinated. White I'm still hoping for a miracle that this will happen in 2020, it's more likely to be in the spring of 2021. Can we then resume with just smaller weddings? Let's check that. It has been all over the news that even small gatherings can trigger new outbreaks. So it's very likely that the government wants to protect its citizens and will not allow these gatherings. Maybe in September/ October 2020 we can resume with very small outdoor weddings of 50 guests, but this will then only cater to Western/ European weddings. And I'm sure there will be very strict safety measures. And again, maybe the government will come up with a system of testing or screening before events happening, but all of this is still written in the stars.
The only thing we can do now is make the best out of the time we will be waiting for this to be over. Life has stopped, yes, but it's up to us what we make out of it. Most important is now to keep hope up and enjoy day by day in a different now. Soon this will be over and we will hold each other again. Weddings are not cancelled, just postponed.
Stay tight. Stay happy. Stay positive.
Lots of love!
