Updated: Jun 7, 2020

As you start your wedding planning process, you want it to be a super special celebration representing the love you share with your future husband. The big question is: what kind of mood do you want to fashion on your special day? Most brides currently are opting for the seriously fun party. I am pleased to put together a guideline on how to throw a super epic wedding but today I will share with you a few basic elements you have to have to make sure you transform your big day into an unforgettable event. No stress there, it is very easy to cover these elements and just these small changes can have your guests remember your BIG day. Now don’t worry, you don’t need to have every one of these elements.

Ready?

Design Beautiful Invitations

These are the first thing your guests will see which will show them what kind of wedding you will have. This is an opportunity to show them what kind of a wedding day it will be.

Shortlist a Striking Venue

Look for that venue that will fit with the wedding style you want to have and that can cater to all your guests.

Have gorgeous floral and décor

We know that you have many Pinterest boards piled up on your phone …pinning everything you want to incorporate in your décor. Signs, props, floral will need to be executed by a creative decorator and/or Wedding Planner/Stylist who has access to buying rare accessories from the market. It’s not always about “more is better” but putting a little thought into the creative aspect while creating your wedding theme and concept. For example, in your seating plan, you may opt for an option where your guests’ names are scattered on a beautifully sprayed tree branches and little foam beaded birds clips with custom made tags.

Lighting

Don’t underestimate the power of power (lighting that is)

People who are not in the event planning industry don’t know that lighting is as important as floral and as important as your entertainment. It’s worth the investment to upgrade to unique or romantic lighting that will highlight your décor and enhance your beautiful photos and video.

Guest transportation

If you are opting for a destination wedding, do not leave your guests wondering around a city they have never been to before. Arrange for guest transportation from the hotel to the venue and back to the hotel especially if you have alcohol being served at your wedding. And if you want to add that personal touch, leave them a little welcome gift with a little note with some recommendations of what they can do on their free time.

DJ or Band?

Get a professional DJ or band that will get to the crowd and make sure they are playing the right tunes to get your friends and family out of their seats and dance the night away.

Have a candy bar or dessert table

This can be executed so nicely if you have the right supplier doing this. The big and small guests will have so much fun filling up goodie bags that they can take back home. Not to mention, they make beautiful photos.

Photobooth

Who doesn’t love taking photos? What a better way to have fun then taking photos at a photo booth. Make it special with a customised backdrop and props. Your guests will be able to go home with the print out and pin it on their fridge until the next better one they will have from another wedding;)
